It aired probably about 5 episodes but was pulled for bad ratings. The cavemen in it were different characters than the ones in the Gieco commercial. It was clear to me that from the mannerisms and situation in the commercials, the primary caveman character was gay. The best evidence for this is when he is discussing with his "friend" how he's using Gieco and his other caveman friends are hasseling him about it. He says something like "What, switching to Gieco makes me less of a caveman?". A twist off a possible real situation/conversation that might go "What, voting Republican makes me less of a gay man?"
The cincher comes when one of their friends interrupts their talk announcing he is getting back together with his girlfriend. The reaction from the caveman, "Will you give us a moment, PLEASE!" Moments for uninterrupted conversations are for couples.
In the TV show, the characters are not gay, which is neither good or bad, but it was boring.

yes Cavemen was on ABC TV. Then the writer's strike hit. Hopefully it will be on later this season or maybe next
