The L.A. murder case one, right? With L as the detective on the case? Honestly, I don't know any sites that have it up, so I'm thinking the best way is to buy it.
My friend was reading it one day, and I flipped through it. It seems good, just a little different because it's not manga format.
I know for a fact Barnes and Noble has it online for about $13.

I'm guessing that you are talking about volume 13.
It's a how to read guide.
It has L's real name as well as bios on most of the main characters.
It also includes all the rules that are in the Death Note as well as interviews with the creators.
It has the original concept drawings of the characters.
It also contains answers to some "mysteries" about the series.
There is also a few manga chapters about a young boy who finds a Death Note, and how he deals witht he power, not to mention having Ryuk following him everywhere.
It also comes with a trading card. I don't know if there are more than one trading card but I got L in my volume.
