to me Full Metal Alchamist is a great series... full of action..suspense and a great story as well...
I Love Full metal panic as it has a very good scenario and unlike many anime series it is also very funny. I also like Ghost in The shell: Stand alone complex. Neon genesis Evangelion is also very good and addictive but also kinda melancholic....
