Batman is not as selfish as superman. Superman cannot even work (he is a journalist) without superpower. Spiderman weeps when he sees his girlfriend - if i were her i would go out with someone "normal". But batman does everything without superpower which makes hima normal and realistic hero, whom media doesn't like much.
