What happended to classic cartoons? How can we get them back!?!

Question: Why do they not show classic warner brothers cartoons anymore? When exactly did this happen, it's like they dropped off the face of the earth. I miss my childhood! Is it all political correctness- cause how is tweety bird racist? Any thoughts?

I miss them too! I say look for the videos on vhs (most likely) Don't know how to get them back on brodcasting. Today's kids like a whole different interest of cartoons than we liked. go to Six Flags! jk

try catching it on the boomerang channel. i always see it on that

Really most of the shows are still on in the programming just at really late times if you would like to know the times just check out some cartoon sites

if you make a patition and get alot of people to sighn then you can get the old cartton network back i would sighn because i miss it to and i spelled patition wrong sorry i dont know how to spell it

There's an entire network dedicated to classic cartoons. It's called Boomerang, and you can call your cable company to subscribe to the channel.

edit:

It isn't that it's wrong to show them now, it's that the ratings for old cartoons are much lower than those for new cartoons. Kids nowadays aren't interested in old cartoons, and networks aren't going to waste money broadcasting shows no one is watching.

Warner brothers? You are worried about warner brothers cartoons? Dear I hit the library and hannafords grocery store today and I saw DVDs of tweety and taz at both.

Remember something: Warner Brothers did not originally make most of these characters for Television. I can remember seeing Pink Panther Cartoons at the Majestic Theater in Downtown Providence when I was little (Okay that was Depatie Freleng but Friz Freleng worked on Looney Tunes too). Television provided a home when the Movie Industry, because of the changes forced on them by television, became less open to shorts. It worked for a while, but TV is going through changes now.

Looney tunes does not need rescuing. Libraries are really hip places and the internet provides other means of distribution. Don't blame Naruto or Inu yasha because they are so cute. Just swear off television for a few hours and you'll be amazed at what you discover.

Oh yeah Bugs Bunny and the other looney toons? Yeah I'm pretty sure they got beat to death by Naruto and all the other anime.
