Question: it makes me so angry sometimes when people dog me for spending so much time and money on anime....but they are like die hard skaters or somethig and spend all their time doing that,,,,,,i actually had a guy dog me for the money i spent on anime then say.....i could have gone snowboarding...ok you do your thing and i'll do mine....anyway...did it ever happen to you?

lol I understand what you are saying. In the begining my mom wasn't terribly thrilled about me spending hundreds of dollars on anime merchandise. But that's her opinion, this is how I AM & nothing will change that.
I love anime & collecting things related to it, mostly rare collectibles. My mom simply had to get used to my hobby, it's inevitable so she got used to my anime collecting.
Now both my parents support my collecting, heck even they are starting to get hooked on anime & manga! So if you like to collect anime stuff, then a few scolding or dogging remarks shouldn't stop you from your passion of spending money on anime. Do what makes YOU happy! ^_~

My mom is always asking me to by clothes for myself, because I don't really like shopping. If I go to the mall, I only buy anime posters, DVDs, and manga. She always scolds me after that, and says, "Why won't you spend your money with something more important."
