Why does superman stop bullets with his chest, but duck when you through a revol!

Question: Your asking this as a joke right?...If not I'll take a guess and say that during the making of the old Superman TV show w/ George Reeves the special effects were minimal at best. They probably didn't have a way to suggest to Mr. Reeves that his body is taking hits by bullets...so he just stood there w/ that classic pose, and when the actors finally throw the revolver at him he ducks instinctively...otherwise he might risk getting hit in the face.....you are asking this as a joke right?

Ahhh, because he's not real!!!

Because the revolver might have torn the underwear he wears over his shorts.

He doesn't he grabs it out of the air and crushes it.

Good question. But if you read the comics, that doesn't stop him either. The new Superman movies are crap. Look at the old ones (w/ Reeves) or the ones from the original TV/ radio shows. They sound allot more believable even if their not.
But the comics give the best take on it.

The bullets are normal bullets which can't hurt him, but as for the revolver...maybe it is made of kryptonite?

When you "through" a revolver? Do you mean throw, or shoot? If you mean throw, probably because it'd be annoying to have anything thrown at you, whether you were invincible to it or not. It's probably distracting, too.

watcha mean by through a revolver at him? @_@

anyway maybe he juz ducked it to humor you haha

HA HA HA HA HA
thats the best question i've heard in a while.
maybe although he's all powerfull in the back of his head he's afraid of revolvers. i mean.....have you ever seen him hold one?

then again.....it's probably just so it doesnt hit his head, bullets always just go for the chest.

but then how come he doesnt just grab the gun and throw it back ten times harder

.........hmmmm

superman is stupid

childhood trauma rection, his dad use to whip him with a revolver, he isnt scared of the rovolver, he is scared of his dad

You've been watching the old "Adventures of Superman" TV show from the '50s, with George Reeves.

The answer is simple; the pistol shots were simply blanks, but the revolver itself was real. George Reeves ducked because it would have hurt him. Had the revolver been made of balsa wood, or paper mache', that would have been a different matter & therefore more realistic. However, TV budgets for special effects were a lot smaller then, and no one then worried that much about a kid's show.

Personally, I wouldn't want to tick him off by shooting at him OR throwing anything at him; I'd just say "Pardon me sir, may I surrender now?"

If you want a story reason, a thrown revolver has a lot more kinetic energy than a bullet, and thus could potentially do more damage.
