Naruto Question..(no anime/naruto haters please!!)?!
Question: Specifically about Kankuro..
How come a lot of people don't like him?.. I think he is awesome.. no, I KNOW he is awesome..
And a lot of fanfics say he is fat.. He is so not fat! And he's cute!! And his kabuki paint is not strange! In one of those ending segments in Shippuuden, he even complained about how Gaara had more photos than him and Temari said it had something to do with "popularity" (sorry to those who haven't seen this, but it does exist I swear, I keep updated) but then I have nothing against Gaara, he's pretty good looking too.
But Kankuro is love!!

but his appearances are little and not alot of him and his abilities are shown so people don't really know him...

I don't why people might hate him,maybe because he doesn't appear in the anime/manga a lot. Or maybe they think he is a jerk because of the chunin exams I think some people see him as not really an interesting character. I mean I don't hate him. I'm not a hater he just wouldn't be my favorite character.

Most people dislike Kankuro because he is dull and boring. There is nothing really special or cool about him besides his puppet that makes him stand out. On the other hand girls love Gaara because of his troubled past they sympathize with his sad upbringing. Also girls like how Gaara was once evil but then became a good guy. I like Kankuro I think he's unorthodox and funny too. He's my favorite character next to Shino he's awesome.

I really dunno, I love Kankurou, I think maybe people don't like him because at the very beginning of series he was little bit coward because gaara was so strong and unpredictable so that i think made him inshore about himself or so, but it was so cool when he got away alone somewhere for example fighting with shino he opened himself, I really can't think of any other reason, Kankurou definitely rocks!! =]

i like him! hes is not fat but i guess people dont like him becuase he isnt a main character and we dont know much about him. also i heard people say that his really big nose freaks them out

It is the same with Shino. They are not in the show very often so they are a forgetteble character. He is not fat. You wanna compare him to chouji, no offense chouji fans. The kabuki paint suits him. They are just not popular characters i guess. But i like them both. Maybe it is the whole poisen puppet thing. I know it is the bugs for Shino that turn people off him.
I have the same question... Kankuro sure is awesome! ^^ The paint looks original and interesting and there's no way he's fat! In one of shippuden eps he was half naked (the one when Sakura was healing him) and did he seem fat?! Besides what else I like about him is that he's a puppeteer! Puppets rock! So actually I don't understand why ppl don't like him! Go Kankuro, there're still ppl who like you! ^-^
His face is not the usual cool guy appearing in animes...and sometimes he looks kinda weak because he only uses his puppet...*hey! I'm not sayin' he's weak! I always use his character if I'm playin Naruto on ps2.* and...maybe his tattoos...its kinda making his face look a bit messy.
...and maybe co'z of his costume...although if a puppeteer shinobi we are talking about...I'll choose Sasori...he's cooler.
