How is Transformers Animated a reboot of the original 1984 series?!
Question: it isn't anything like the original series for so many reasons, in fact I can name things that proves the Unicron Trilogy has a lot more in common with the original than Animated!
-G1 characters came back, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Shockwave (Shockblast), Inferno, Rodimus, Omega Supreme, Soundwave.
-Mini-cons are based on Targetmasters only more advanced
-Alpha Q is just like the old 5-faced Quintassons
-Optimus Prime has the exact same personality he always had since G1
-Energon Galvatron looks like G1 Galvatron
-Megatron turned into Galvatron through Unicron
-when Prime was dying in the last ep of Armada his color was almost completely faded.
-Matrix design similar to the original
-Starscream praised Megatron in a disgusted ton just like in the original cuz he hated him.
-THEY USED GUNS AND CANNONS!! NOT SWORDS! (unless they had to but the guns were their main weapons)
-Starscream was a ghost in Energon
-They fought battles like soldiers

it really isn't. i think it is just a ploy to have people who were into the original transformers to watch it.

yeah it is a remake of transformers now CALM DOWN!......let me explain
shows like:
transformers, gi joe, teenage mutant ninja turtles, batman, etc.
were created back then, however the fan base to make a big movie like it wasn't going to work out.
they tried it with ghostbusters, but the fan base was not strong enough, the producers felt they had not enough cash flow to make a third. And that was the end movies for ghostbusters, however they have done a few other cartoon shows, and now with shows like Ghost Hunters, or ...(I forget the name) it is becoming more popular
whenever a Batman movie comes out suddenly there is a new Batman tv show, that can't be like any of the ones before, but it has to relate(stupid? yes it is but thats tv)
same thing with TMNT(teenagemutantninjaturtles) it was dead for a while, then a new movie came out, in this day and age they could make it with graphics, have it better for the viewer.

same thing with transformers. they waited to make the movie for a fan base to build. and so that the movie could actually be done with the graphics the creator desired(Much like Star Wars)
