Samarai Champloo it has some romance in it but most of all it's funny and has a great story!
Groan... like half of the god damn Anime out there for Christ sake.
bleach is my favorite anime and tons of people recomend it. there's a lot of sword fighting and a whole bunch of awesome battles but it's a little short on the romance there's parts that you can see that there's something going on between two characters but that's not the main focus of the anime.
Try Record of Lodoss War.
Good anime, great characters, and some romance between a a pair of the characters.
Medieval style, set in a fantasy world, where war is brewing.

It's a great anime.
Yes there is sword fighting(actually it's more one person cutting through enimeis with a fire sword).
And toward the end there is a lot of romance and drama, so I reccomend it.

Blood+ is AMAZING u have to watch it its perfect!!!!!!! bleach would be really good too but i highly recomend Blood+ its EXACTLY what ur lookin for.
