Why Naruto!?!

Question: Why does everyone love Naruto so much?!
I understand that people are aloud to have there own likes and dislikes, but it DOES start bothering me when I see it everywhere I go on the 'net!
I have seen every single episode of Naruto, but only the first 10 episodes of the Shippduden.
I felt like quitting at episode 120!
But I pushed on because everyone was telling me that it got better and better!
I DIDN'T!
I can't believe I wasted that many hours of my life!
Can someone tell me WHY it's so popular?!
Don't say anything like "Because it's awesome" or "Because it rocks" or anything like that!
I want, straight to the point, logical answers.

Haha, sometimes a not-so-good series could be very popular; it reminds me when I was into Gundam Seed - I continued watching even after the plotline became an utter crap (in Destiny, that is). Maybe because of Athrun? 8D

There are no specific reasons on why Naruto is so popular. Some would say it's the art; some would say it's the story-telling; some would say the guys are so cool ;) and some because of the fights and battle techniques.

For me, I'd love the idea of mixing traditional ninjas with a modern lifestyle. And there are so many holes that I like to find out what's in them. (like Naruto-Yondaime link, what actually happened during Kyuubi's attack, Yondaime's real abilities, Naruto's parents, the three people Itachi mentioned during the Uchiha massacre, Yondaime's teammates, how Kakashi got his Sharingan, Kakashi's real face.... X3)

Now that these so-called "holes" are being filled one-by-one, things are getting interesting - although some are not. I also love to see what others think of the story line; like "How come Naruto only has a bigger Rasengan after time-skip?" 8D

And since Kishimoto used so many references in Naruto - Buddhist tales, Hinduism myths, Japanese folklores etc. - it's always fun to find the "hidden agenda" behind whatever the characters do or say. You don't believe me? Look up at Narutofan Forums - there are a lot of brilliant theories (although they were mere theories) and character essays there, in the many piles of trash. :D

I admit that Naruto is not truly awesome - the so-called "awesomeness" can only be found when you learn to read "the truth behind the truths". And I don't really watch the anime, I read the manga more. =^_^=

I think it grew more popular because the characters are older and appeals to also a more older audience. I also think that since more and more characters got introduced, and the sasuke/itachi fan girl-ish obsession started, it just got more and more popular. I also think that perhaps some people just feel it necessary to finish something they started. That's just an opinion.

It can realate to alot of people and it has true meaning and theres alot of chinease people in the world sooo but it and it does rock LOLZ

well the people who said it gets better after 120 or w/e were wrong because around there the 80 episode fillers start.. so yeha.. and why people like it .. I guess its just good its like asking why really bad "pop" bands are good

I don't like Naruto either most of the people who watch it is between the ages 11-15 and the show comes on early enough so they all watch it. Otherwise it wouldn't be popular. It's just so kiddish. I'm so tired of hearing " I love Naruto " and it everyone always putting it down when someone asks for a great anime or the best. It's not the best or a great anime! I know, I've seen over 300 animes! I know what I'm talking about, I've seen all different kinds and styles of anime. Naruto is simply an anime that's not terrible, but I still don't like it.

People like Naruto because its funny, it has alot of action, and it shows alot of adventure. If you wanna know why I like it its because of the funny and Naruto's stupid yet funny perverted techniques.

I like naruto mostly because they get really in depth with the characters. Everyone has a back story, which makes it more relatable and you understand why the characters do what they do, and why they are the way they are. I really enjoy the stories and the series overall.

plus naruto is so hilarious, its one of the only shows that makes me laugh out loud.

because it rocks. just kidding because theres a great storyline, so many different characters with so many personalities theres so any things you want to know stuff that leaves you guessing awesome fights i dont see why you dont like it i mean i was hooked after i saw the first episode and i've liked every episode since(besides the god dang fillers CURSE YOU) well anyways if u dont like it so far i suggest stop watching it dont spend time even thinking about it.(And how could you not like naruto i mean......) anyways find something else to do go read a book or something.

i see your point, i really dont like naruto like others and one of my friends loves it because of its action and story, i personally dont like it because you can find much of the same stuff in there as you do in dragon ball z series and like that.

It has talking during fights making the fights less intresting and not as entertaining to watch. The story is like others, a outcast becomes an important person and others see that hes valuable and trys to get him for his talent, same old same old. there was a little romance and when it looked like something really cool was going to happen like a ultimate fight scene, it ends up just being 2 guys showing off there abilitys and talking to each other.

a good action anime is samurai champloo. it has intense fighting and little talking when it gets really intense. a good story and keeps you drawn in.

Simple. The plot. The characters. The humor. The setting. You do the math.

you might like the manga better. it moves faster than the actual show(it took the third hokage forever to die lol. then the next episode was the third hokage forever. hello? irony!) some people just like it and others don't!

hope this helps!

well, if you're into action type animes, then naruto is the best anime for you, and since im that type of person, then maybe that's why i love naruto so much....
Also, naruto teaches you a lesson about friendship, well kinda, a bond between two enemies who became friends, which is naruto and sasuke, who became evil and wanted to help him, come back, so it teaches you that a friendships bond can get you trhough anything, and motivates you to work hard to help your friend...
is that logical enough....
oh and also, it teaches you that there are some bad people in the world that you can't trust cuz some of them are traitors...

Well, you might not like it, but there are hundreds of thousands of people who do. Everyone has their own opinion.

I've never liked Naruto. Too many characters to keep track of and the plot reminds me too much of DBZ ("Hey, lets all get impossibly strong so we can defeat bad guy #2,084,235,401!").

And it annoys me when people tell me "i likes anime becuz i wach naruto". No. No you don't. You like Naruto, not anime. I mean, at least the Inuyasha-obsessed people I know try other shows! How hard is it to watch something new?

And I think the show would have been better if they hadn't aimed it at such a young audience and tightened it up so it wasn't 90% filler.

some people like it and some people don't..... i guess i'm just one of those people who like it. i like it because it has a good balence of humor and seriousness. the fights are very well drawn, and the story is very unique. besides, the characters are amazing.

i think that a lot of people like it because the characters really get in depth. You get to see their lifes, their relationships, happy and sad times that they share and much more. I agree that there are some spots in the series where i get bored and think the episode is pointless but a lot of it (more the shippuden than the other stuff) gets really personal and emotional with the characters.
