ARE THE GORILLAZ emo???!
Question: r the gorrilaz emo? i have recently watched and listened 2 thier songs and i like some of them... wat r they about? i do know the clint eastwood song (one of my faves) is talking about drugs right? wats behind the pictures and 2D? and noodle, if the band is emo why is she always smiling?

Its hard to describe something/someone as "emo". This is because emo is not a way to dress, it is a way of life or thinking of a person. I am a fan of Gorillaz and I wouldnt say they have beautiful songs, but they aren't "emo" either.
Their songs are mostly like any other songs. For example, their song "Feel Good" is about the pleasure of sex. The intro song of the album Demon Days is about why everybody is looking down on the person and why he is at the bottom of the "food chain". Another song, White Light, is not a good format of song, but it has meaning. The lyrics are "white light, white light, white light, alchohol, alchohol" about 6 times through. Its about someone drinking alchohol and "seeing a white light* (the light people claim to see in death).
I wouldnt describe the band Gorillaz as "emo", but as Hard Rock or Punk. I like them, but they are, in my opinion, not emo.

no way they are not emo! i ******* hate emos, gorrillaz rock!
I don't even know what the guys look like!! But they might be emo. They're probably not the stereotypical emos who cut and hate life and wear tight pants and do all that stuff. But their music is kinda emo. Real emos are fun and nice, not cutters and suicidal. Which technically means I'm emo!!
