Except for the fact that the remix is only like $50 and the original is anywhere from $100-$200.

The original box set, Cowboy Bebop - The Perfect Sessions, was a limited edition release. They only had around 500 copies made so they are extremely rare. It also included the soundtrack.
The remixed Dvds were released individually, after the release of the "Session" Dvds. The remixed versions included new extras, and were completely remastered and remixed with 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
This Anime Legends Complete Collections include all the remixed Dvds for, as you mentioned, $50.
I personally can't wait to pick it up myself
Only big difference between the remix and the original is that...the remix sounds better, looks a little better(little) There is nothing really new just looks (the box) fancy. ;/ So if I were you I would just get the original save your $$$$$
