= it's the nature of the manga and anime of Gintama itself. It's full of parody and homage to the entertainment world especially in Japan.

=yes, every episode. You should see the parody they did with Bleach, Naruto, One Piece. The main chara, Gintoki, is an obsessed Shounen Jump reader and always dreams of a bankai of his own.

=definitely. Everytime a new subbed eps comes out, my heart will sing a little song of happiness~~

=It's a mix of everything. Mostly witty comedy but ITS GOOD.

This anime is called Gintama and its about a ex-samurai who does odd jobs, the story is that he fought in the alien invasion but the rebels lost and now it is illegal for anyone to practice the way of the samurai. It's a comedy and it is really funny although I don't know if they do any other parodies because I have only seen like 20 episodes. I would recommend it though its really funny.
Yeah the old guy was pretty disturbing, but they made badminton look really awesome
