Do you think Batman is using a Gun?!

Question: Not currently and the last time he used one was in 'Batman' #1, back in 1940, when he machine-gunned a man who had been turned into a rather large monster. He also killed two vampires back in 1939, by shooting them with silver bullets fired from a .45 caliber pistol. A splashpanel (a fairly large drawing in a panel that contains the Batman logo at the top of the first page in a story) in an early 1940 story shows Batman aiming another .45 but he doesn't use the weapon in the story, and he apparently wasn't carrying it either. Other than those three instances, I don't believe you'll find any other examples of Batman using a gun. Starting in the last sixties, there are several stories that show Batman refusing to carry a pistol, and in one story he can't even touch a pistol without breaking out in a sweat and trembling.

When Batman first appeared in 1939, he was a fairly violent character, who sometimes used lethal force and was hunted by the police. He sometimes killed criminals but he seldom used a gun. He had been around six or seven months before a two-page origin Story ('Batman -- Who He Is And How He Came To Be') was used as a preface for another story, and was the first explanation for why Batman acted the way he did. Apparently the violent Batman sold well, but editorial fiat dictated that the violence be watered down. Robin was introduced, Batman started appearing in two additional comic books, one of which featured only stories about Batman and Robin, and soon Batman became more of a worldwide adventurer and much less of a pulp inspired character. He also became a more popular character.

A few decades down the road, Robin left and Batman became more like his original self, a "weird creature of the night," but he didn't become a hero who killed again and he never carried a gun.

Why do you ask? Do you think Batman is currently carrying and using a gun?

Batman doesn't need a gun. He has a grappling hook, and shark repellant

No. A hero never uses a Gun.

Batman doesn't use lethal force, except on rare occasions. He does not kill in the name of the law. Batman used a handgun in the early 40's, but after shooting a couple of enemies to death, the editor at the time enacted a "no kill" policy which has more or less held until the present day.

BAtman don't use Guns..but hes enemies does

No, he doesn't. He HATES guns (childhood trauma) He'll avoid using firearms.
