The movie is non-canon (not part of the official plotline). I haven't seen the movie, but if he died (which probably doesn't happen, at least permanently, anyway) it wouldn't be shown in the official plotline.
I seriously doubt he permanently dies or dies at all. I know that a girl in the movie named Shion has a vision about him dying--what you're seeing might be a teaser to her vision. In recent manga chapters, which is canon, Naruto's alive and kicking.
Anyways, I doubt he'd die, since the series is about him. ^^
Here's a summary of the movie:
Demons that once almost destroyed the world have been revived by someone. To prevent the world from being destroyed, Naruto is to guard Shion, but she predicts Naruto's death. The only way to escape it is to get away from Shion, which would leave her unguarded, then the demons, whose only goal is to kill Shion will do so.
Ya,he doesn't die. It looks like he does in the movie,but that was only a prediction it was setup,by the girl in the movie,it showed that if he left where his was he would die. Then they show what would happen if he did leave,and they show him dieing (even though he doesn't die)
Besides Naruto can't die because he still has to become Hokage,after all that is what the whole show is about. Us as the viewers get to the life of Naruto who wants and will become Hoakage someday,we get to see his life through and adventures. Also Naruto can't die because not only that would be the end to anime/manga,but Naruto is very popular and they would lose money and a lot of viewers. Also think about the movie's take place sometimes in the middle of episode so it wouldn't make sense if he died and they kept showing and makeing Naruto episodes. Also the movies don't have any connection to the orignal manga/plot.
Well since it was recently released in Japan in August of this year,it still has to hit U.S. It is said that it i going to be released in the U.S. in April 23,2008. Looks like in the mean time you will just have to watch trailers.

Naruto: Shippūden the Movie (劇場版ＮＡＲＵＴＯ?ナルト? 疾風伝, Gekijōban Naruto Shippūden?) is a 2007 film directed by Hajime Kamegaki and written by Junki Takegami. It is the fourth film based on the Naruto manga and the first of the Naruto: Shippūden anime series. It was announced on November 22, 2006, in that week's issue of Shonen Jump. The movie was released in theaters on August 4, 2007. Pre-sale tickets had been available since April 21, 2007. The movie will be released on DVD in Japan on April 23, 2008.

Hehehehehe, you're being fooled by the trailers. I remember watching it and went, "WTF? Naruto died?" and began thinking that he couldn't possibly be dead because he was still in the series - maybe the dead was a somewhat "real" Kage Bunshin. Maybe he was missing. Maybe.... so many maybes.
Until I read a review from someone who actually watched the movie in Japan, then I was relieved. He really did not die after all. In fact, the trailers were all LIES - to fit with the movie's theme song, Lie-Lie-Lie. XD

Naruto shippuden 4 this is the part when master tsunade ask for a simple combat test Naruto and sakura vs. sir kakashi. Tsunade wants to see if sakura and naruto improves when it comes fighting technique in times of there practice. And also Suna was attacks.
