Yes, Ryuk does come back.
Light giving up the Death Note in jail and losing all his memories is a part of his plan. However you won't be seeing Ryuk for, I think it was, 5 or 6 episodes.

Yes, calm down, i read the whole manga and anime , it is kira's or light's plan. Ryuk is back in his shinigami world into Ligth is cleared from my TEACHER L Ryuzaki's suspicion, ryuk does come back though

Ryuk is going to come back. It is all part of light's plan to get Misa and him to not be suspects anymore. Ryuk will come back but this time, Misa would be the one that has Ryuk's death note. Light gets Rem's death note. It's all part of the plan.
well how far are you in to the anime? if you got to the part where light goes to jail then dont worry. light would want the deathnote back. and with the deathnote comes ryuk. its really cool how he does it too.
