Question: Ok why the hell did itachi kill his own clan??i know he said test his abblities but why would he kill his own father,mother and other family.I mean thats his family not his enimies!!To me:he is really dumb.do you agree with me?

he wanted to level up his sharringan...also the sharringan slowly makes him blind explaining y he didnt kill saskue...CUASE HE WANTS HIS EYES. read the manga it tells u all

No I do not agree with you. Itachi has his reasons for killing his clan which is because he couldn't stand their cocky attitude. They were obsessed with themselves and it annoyed him, and I think Madara also had something to do with his decision.
He didn't kill Sasuke because he wanted his eyes, which as far as we're seeing he's going to get, but I really doubt Kishi-kun would let that happen.
Let me repeat, I DO NOT AGREE!!! In my opinion, Itachi is the best character and he was a child PRODIGY! He was sent on murder missions at 10, maybe younger. Wouldn't you be a bit insane if you had the same kind of background?

Itachi killed his family so that Sasuke would always chase him and become stronger so that, as his spare, he could aquire eyes near equivilent to his own so as to prevent his enevitable decent into darkness. He killed his BEST FRIEND so as to gain the Mangekyou Sharingan, capable of feats such as Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu. Plus he was basically told to by Madara Uchiha, whom seeked to do so as a revolt to Konoha (Leaf Village) since his assault on the village using the Kyuubi (Nine Tailed Fox) failed thanks to the Minato Namikaze (The 4th Hokage)
he needed to test himself to see if he was strong enough. also, he needed to make sharringan more powerful.
Itachi wanted to get the Manukure sharingon to the next level. (read the magma!)
He killed the whole uchiha clan because he wanted to learn his Sharingan.
