they had to call them tm 'HERO' turtles in the uk as too many children were kicking the crap out of each other.
I think the rat guy changed them with his (slightly annoying) spiritual advice
Are you talking about the original ones? When they looked more..."cartoony"? Or the new ones, where they're drawn a bit rougher...edgier?
Personally I like the TMNT Fast Forward series.
TMNT started with a series of comic books that were meant 4 adult and then they made the 80's cartoon.
