This is because I like his grungy look. I love the way he sits and chews on his thumb when he's thinking deeply. Haha, plus his sugar cravings are awesome! Isn't it cool how he never gets cavities from it all?! Not to mention I would love to burn off the sugar I eat by thinking as well [Lol, L stated this]. I don't know there's just a weird vibe about L that makes him likeable =]
Light... no way. I liked him in the beginning but then he was totally corrupted by the Death Note and his "good" intentions... He turned into a maniac and started killing off good people for his own needs [jerk!]. Although I have to admit I did like him when he went good [gave up the Death Note] - he looked cute there =]
So yup L it is! My favorite crazy genius!

i think maybe because L is like sort of mysterious. and i love how he talks so smart lol. i agree that theyre both very smart, and i was a fan of Light during the first half of the show, until he changed like right in the middle!

L is more of the "good guy" Yet has the bad seen to him. The way he acts [like the way he sits and all] Is another plus. I cant pick between the two myself either. But L is also a mysterious character whos thoughts are not known. And with that people prefer because of suspense, where light is a little more easy to understand since we hear his thoughts o:
