Why is Soji In Peacemaker so... umm... feminine?!
Question: Cause he's what they call a bishounen... a guy who looks like a girl without losing all of their masculinity.
I think he's awesome! beautiful, yet deadly. Isn't that sooo cool!!! ?

if he were in girls clothing i wouldnt be able to tell!! the only reason i knew was cuz i figured they weouldnt let a girl be a captain or whatever he is in the shinsegumi ^^ plus, his voice isnt THAT feminine ^^ dubbed or subbed ^^

I don’t know why he was depicted as a feminine character.
He’s definitely a guy, because his character was based on the real life Okita Shoji, a shinsengumi soldier.
actually he's depicted as feminine in several anime and manga i've done...... i read a lot about him and from what i gather from the hours spent at the bookstore......he was just simply girly....there were more than one that hinted ( though he himself kept no memoirs) that most of the people that knew him and wrote of him in a personal was thought he went both ways
in Japanese manga, both shoujo and shounen, they can have a male character that especially build to have that feminine look which called as BISHOUNEN or boy with girlie look. the opposite is BISHOUJO.
this was meant as FANSERVICE, for not only girls like it but also this bishounen attract boys as well.
as for OKITA SHOUJI of SHINSEGUMI history told that he was a handsome samurai and a photograph of him did show that he was handsome. so the background for him to be bishounen already provided and mangaka just taking the advantage of making him appears as sexually looking so feminine ^_^ as possible. OKITA SHOUJI as bishounen popping in various manga as well, not only in PEACEMAKER or PEACEMAKER KUROGANE, like HIKARU NO KAZE.
other BISHOUNEN character including UCHIHA SASUKE, UCHIHA ITACHI and 4th HOKAGE of NARUTO MANGA, just look closely to their face you'll notice it hehhehehe.
