Which character from Naruto had the saddest childhood?!
Question: I would mostly say Gaara because his mother died, his dad ordered his uncle to kill him, and because nobody wants to be with him.I mostly feel bad for him because he trusted his uncle at first, but then his uncle betrayed him.

I would vote Sasuke. The pain of losing your entire family, their blood shed by the brother you idolised and suddenly going from being a member of a booming clan to being all alone is the hardest pain of all I think. Sasuke was constantly overshadowed by his genius brother, unable to catch up and feeling the reject because of it. Then he lost his family and was suddenly burdened with lonliness and the task of revenge.
Gaara had a bad one because he was treated as a weapon and told that was his purpose and had to deal with his own father rejecting him. He still had a family there to watch over him though.
Naruto had the whole lonely and isolation of never knowing his family or having friends but he made friends and never had the pain of losing his family, just never knowing them.

This is a good question. I can think of 5 that are sad:
Naruto - I don't think I could live without any parents or friends
Sasuke - Seeing your own brother kill off an entire clan, including your parents...I think that's worse than Naruto's
Gaara - betrayed by everyone, veeeery similar to Naruto's
Haku - shunned just because of his (or is it her) kekkai genkai, and watching your mother die
Kakashi - watching your father, the most respected ninja in the village, commit suicide, along with how his mother and everyone else he loved die in some mysterious and untold way...
the final verdict = its between kakashi and sasuke

Naruto or Garra. almost a tie i'd say. they both had very tough childhoods. :(
I should say....sasuke because he had it rough. HE had a happy life and then all of a sudden itachi killed all of his family members and he got depressed T.T

I vote Gaara, Kakashi, Sasuke, and Naruto. Sasuke never SEEN his village slaughtered, but came home to it. Gaara watched as everyone tried to maim, kill, and betray him. Kakashi is kinda untold. Naruto...well we all know how that goes. I would say that they all had pretty crappy childhoods, but that detail makes the series great. Their misfortunes lead them to either glory or failure, and we get to watch their decisions. (Not like it's a reality show!) Makes for a wonderful storyline.

but actually i'd say naruto. especially if his own father did the sealing and having no friends or family for a dozen years. i mean, eating dinner all alone, taking tons of harassment, no one saying that they love you, no one to hug, no one to tuck you in at night, no one to help you when your sick....oh it makes me so sad

GAARA i cried for half an hour when i whatched the epiosdes when he brought the medicine to the chicks house and she slammed the door in his face i felt so sorry for him everyone hated him. I also think that Naruto and Sasuke had a hard childhood but not as bad as Gaaras
