Question: I finished the anime series, but I would like to read the manga since it left a lot of questions unanswered. So my question is: Is there a certain chapter of the manga that I can skip to, or do the manga and anime follow completely different plotlines?

the manga is quite different from the anime(haha sorry messed up before), i mean a lot. new characters will be shown, and a conflict is just about to come. i skipped a little bit, but i think i'll let you star on chapter 26. there are some parts that might be familiar, but just keep going. it's just getting interesting on that part.^^
