Are there any black superheros? Fictional..not real ones like MLK.?!

Question: AFRO SAMURAI!! Oh yea! OH! and Bishop & Storm(x-men), Barracuda (Punisher presents), Carl "CJ" Johnson (GTA4)-I know, not really a "superhero", Black Panther, (Marvel comics), and I can't really think of anymore off of the top of my head.....

i can only think of two rite now =]
ummm....storm from x-men i LOVED her!
one of my fav characters!
&&then there was the green lantern
he was super awesome he was from the justice
league and his powers were somehow connected
to his ring (i loved him too)

theres cyborg from teen titans too.... as well as those ^(up) :P

Luke Cage: Hero for Hire

Bishop, Storm, Black Panther, Like Cage, The Falcon, Steel, and one of the Green Lanterns (John Stewart)

That's all I've got right now.

Damn, I totally forgot about Blade and Nick Fury.

Here you go, a wiki list of every black superhero.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bla...

There are a few - That One Dude above lists a few. There are also several black members of the X-men - most notably Storm and Bishop.

However, none of the black superheroes have ever made the cultural impression that the first tier heroes have. Mostly likely, this is simply a matter of time - the major publishers didn't start introducing black characters until the 1970s, by which time the likes of Superman, Batman, and even Spider-Man had head starts of up to 30 years to put themselves into the public consciousness.

Storm, Luke Cage, Black Panther, the Ultimate Marvel version of Nick Fury, Triathlon, John Stewart the Green Guardian, Steel, Natalie Irons Steel's niece, Bishop, Falcon, the very first version of Captain America, and I think that's it.

That's actually hard to think of.

Storm
T'Challa (The Black Panther)
Blade
Sam Wilson (Falcon)
Patriot ( I can't recall the kid's name offhand)
Prodigy(he's a kid on New X-Men)
Luke Cage
Misty Knight(Not sure if she's classified as one or not)
Bishop

John Stewart (the Green Lantern)
Cyborg (Victor Stone)

I know DC has to have more than those two but right now I'm drawing a blank.
