Question: In the Yostuba group part of Death Note, how exactly do L and Light manage to get the Death Note back and reveal the members as holders of the Death Note? I know it had to be some elabarote plot, and I know that they were monitoring the group, but I can't remember what happened exactly.

with the help of Misa and Matsuda!
that group thought that Matsuda listened what they said in their meeting and thinking he'd become a threat, so the 3rd Kira(Kyosuke Higuchi) decides to kill him before he tells anyone about what happened, but Matsuda pretends to die throwing himself from the flat..
but then he suddenly appears in T.V. telling the viewers about the new kira, so Higuchi realizes that he should kill him before he does tell whatever he wants to tell....... so the police goes after him in order to capture him with the death note, actually they already knew that he's the kira by Misa....
ummmm, I can't explain more than this, you should remember this, lol, I've watched it long ago, I can barely remember anything too, especially that incident and Mello's group incident when they kidnap Light's sister and kill his father : (
During L's probe on the group, Hatori is killed by Higuchi after stating intentions to leave. Rem aids in the capture of Higuchi by revealing his identity to Misa. Misa uses her status as the second Kira to get him to admit to being Kira on tape. Higuchi is captured in an elaborate setup concocted by Light and L, and once Light touches the Death Note, thereby regaining his memories of being the real Kira, he uses a Death Note scrap to kill Higuchi.
It happens somewhere in episodes 22 and 23. Sorry.
