the closest anime EVER to death note is the anime CODE GEASS!! REALLY SIMILAR!!

and there are NO bishounen in death note! aside from mello (he is the CLOSEST thing to one) there are NO bishounens in there!!
a bishounen is a guy who basically looks like a girl!! light, L, the police force... none of them look like girls!

Honestly there is no shows that are similar to Death Note but as mentioned before the main character in Code Geass is similar to Yagami Light (smart, deceiving, and has a special ability).
