What happened to anime?!

Question: when anime first came out it was actually good. It wasn't to childish it was great. Dragon Ball z YU-YU Hakishou with the exception of Inyuashia all the old animes were good. None of the new animes can compete with the old, Are the creaters even trying to come up with a good anime?
they are trying to copy the old animes but can't pull it off.
The new animes are simply to childish.
Example death Note, nuruto, bleach should I go on.
My question what happened to good anime?

What happened to Anime?

Why, It was given to American's.
That's what.

It was introduced to mainstream America. Where then it was cut, dubbed and molded into what our Media thought would sell.

Jerks!

obviously you don't know what good anime is. the old school is fine, but to call Naruto(which you spelled wrong) childish, and also bleach, and deathnote? those are great shows with both comedic AND serious elements, and full of great action. PLUS! death note had NOTHING funny in it! maybe you should try paying closer attention and seeing that these shows are great! your stuck in the 90's dude. COME TO THE FUTURE WHERE ANIME IS JUST AS GOOD NOW AS IT WAS BACK IN THE 90's! o, and by the way...ONE PIECE FOR LIFE! LOL! but seriously, those anime you called chilidish are actually very good! GIVE THEM A CHANCE! AND LEARN HOW TO SPELL NARUTO! LOL!

it dissapeared down the toilet!

It died with disco!

How is Deathnote childish?
Oh you mean dubbed, yeah dubbed anime sucks.

try afro samurai. It's humorous and mature enough for almost anyone.

All the obsessed people killed it, like u said, it was really good when it came out, than all the kids got crazy over it and made it lame.. lol

It got lost with good old Japanese subs! Why do people feel the need to dub everything! It totally ruins the anime and you end up grinding your teeth and staring at their out of sink lips! AAHH

....rant over lol =P

i don't know man you should go to a anime conventions to know the answer tht question

wut r u talkin bout?? naruto, death note and bleach r my 3 top fav anime ever!! including inuyasha. well. i'm sry u feel that way. when i go to collage, i want 2 become an animator and make my own anime. and since i like those anime they will b an inspiration to my creation... well, i hope u give those animes a chance. i never met anyone who didn't like them b4...

Same things that happen to other things that become "mainstream". People that have "no clue" about it, want to get in on the popularity, and royaly screw it up. It's happened in music, games, and now anime. The"outsiders" that think they are bigshots in hollywood milk it for what its worth, tampering with it all the time, then lets it go to die. It's happening with "Final Fantasy" right now too. Though that is getting a little better when they made"Advent Children" and "Crisis Core".

ITS GOTTEN BETTER!!!!!

NARUTO!!!!!

NARUTO 100% BEST ANIME/MANGA EVER!!!!!

NARUTO WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST ANIME/MANGA EVER!!!!!

NARUTO ROCKS!!!!!

"To be Hokage, that is my dream!"

"I never give up that is my nindo,my ninja way!"

The "problem" is that Anime became popular.

Back before Anime really took off, studios would only import the more popular series from Japan; hence the "good stuff"

And I was watching things like Tenchi Muyo, Ah! My Goddess, Cowboy Bebop, El Hazard, Escaflowne, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ranma 1/2 (that one is OK), and movies like Ninja Scroll, Akira, and Ghost In The Shell. I do have to say that most of the movies that aren't attached to a series are still usually good. Steamboy is awesome! And anything by Hayao Miyazaki!

Now that companies see the earning potential in stuff targeted to 10 year old boys, they have saturated the market with all this dreck like Pokemon, Naturo, and so on.

It's always been around it just wasn't until recently that we had access to it here in the states!

--------------------------------------...

Oh yeah, and a lot of what's on TV is hacked to shreds!

Sailor Moon, Tenchi Muyo, I know for sure were changed a lot and some episodes left out completely because of content. I'm sure that is still going on with a lot of stuff coming to the US.

The fact that you said "when anime first came out" made me stop reading your question altogether. That's like believing computers have only been around in your lifetime. Know the history of something before you ask such questions. And to be honest, this is far too subjective.

Hey don't be talking about Bleach like that!

What are you talking about Inuyasha was great!!! Death Note is one of the greatest animes I've seen. How can you even say Death Note is remotely childish? Death Note is different then anything I've ever seen. Do you even know anime? Ok Dragon Ball and Yuyu Hakishou was great animes I'll give you that, but don't hate on Inuyasha and Death Note. Blood+ is a new anime and it rocks too, so how can you say the new animes aren't good. Have you even seen any of them to judge them? To answer you're question all the good animes are right in front of you face!!!! Open your eyes!!! I love anime!!!:)

You're not looking hard enough, or maybe you're not trying to. There are many series out there that are great. From when exactly are you talking about? Anything after what . . . 2000? You have to be kidding.

Monster, Baccano!, Elfen Lied, Last EXILE, Noein, Seirei no Moribito, Juuni Kokki (The Twelve Kingdoms) . . . I can probably go on and on about all the series that have come out in the last five or so years that were absolutely amazing. Those anime aren't childish in any way at all. Try them, see for yourself

And for the record . . . Death Note isn't childish in any way, neither is Bleach. Naruto I can somewhat agree with, but I couldn't let my little sister watch the sequel to Naruto because it was too mature for her.

Have you even tried watching these series? Have you given them a chance? It doesn't seem that way

Also, so you know, I only watch anime in Japanese with subtitles. There are very few good english dubs

I won’t argue you about Naruto. Bleach is quite good. How come Death Note childish? It’s one of the rarest anime that need some thinking just to watch it. Much of a thinking than Dragon Ball, (which btw, the anime sucks! But I love the manga).

There are also FMA, Samurai Champloo, Honey & Clover (if you like drama), Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, and my personal favorite, One Piece.

You just did not look hard enough.
