I once added a friend when i first encounter him on my posted question. He seems to be an opposition to everything, and i like his style for giving his idea in different way. A criticism with a truth in it.
Some people don't usually want to be added, those people who are ahead of me in terms of using Y!A but some are willing to be friended with a newbies. Honestly speaking, i can't answer some of your questions regarding anime cause i don't know anything about it.
I don't usually add a contact because of his cool avatar, but based on their good and sensible answers. Those people who don't love trolling and fooling around.
I will checked your youtube amvs later. Cause it took me a minute to wait before i appreciate a full video streaming (due to my internet connection).
well i usually look at people profiles and if we have things in common, ill add them. also sometimes i add people because they give some awesome answers!
as for your amv's, im not really sure! im still trying to think of some new ones for me to make lol! sorry i couldnt help much with that! i also usually add everyone who adds me as a fan first.

In truth I've never actually added a contact who has not been my fan first.
But the normal procedure is checking out their profile -- what kind of questions they ask [interesting ones...], what kind of questions they answer, how much we have in common. Overall I just like to see nice opinions and answers from that person. Plus I like cool names and cool avatars and interesting questions -- oo, and an anime lover!
I don't really contact my contacts outside of Y!A's. It's kind of not needed since I'm always seeing them around Y!A's answering questions.
