The high point of my comic reading came during the mid seventies to late eighties and I have to admit many of the comics I followed were based on toys (Micronauts, Rom, Shogan Warriors) or films (Star Wars/Trek, Indiana Jones).
That said, I liked Princess Mari (aka. Marionette) from Micronauts. Beverly Switzler from "Howard the Duck" was also a favorite, though I doubt many understood the parody going on. Even the Lucas film blew it. Beverly was the first female Marvel comic character I recall being depicted nude.
