Question: Anime is an animated story in a (how do I put this.....) Video format. While Manga is a visual Japanese comic book. something you read not watch.

Or basically Anime is a in motion comic strip you watch on video, and Manga is a comic book your read on paper.

Anime is the movies and shows...Manga is what anime is derived from. Comic books essentially.

Anime is animation either in CG or animated cells that have motion. Anime is the katana short formed of animation.

Manga is strictly in a comic or graphic novel medium. A lot of anime is based on certain manga but there are also a lot of animation that are never translated from Manga either. In Japanese kanji the character for man - ga mean 'drawn picture'.

i think that anime is animated manga, and manga is just pictures or comics of japanese characters.

Manga are comic books originating from Japan. They do differ quite a bit from what we would normally think of as "comic books," but that is essentially what they are.

Anime is animation originating from Japan (often, but not always, based on manga).

Manga is often readable not like the anime which you watch.

wanna know? it's simple...
manga is read and you can read it any time you want, also, anime came most from manga...
that's the difference...

Animes are the animation
Mangas are the graphic novels

If a manga gets popular enough it will get turned into anime
A manga and anime will usually share the same plot
