How do I try out for a cartoon voice?!

Question: I don't know what kind of character but I just want to be a voice for a character and I'm wondering how you try out.

You would go to an open audition and compete with everyone else who shows up. Any acting classes, roles in plays, or experiences like working in radio or television commercials would make you a more viable candidate that someone who had no experience whatsoever.

Read through a couple of issues of 'Variety' and see if there are any announcements for open auditions for cartoon vocal talent. Chances are you would have to relocate. You would need a means to support yourself, preferably something with odd hours that wouldn't interfer with auditioning, nor daytime work in case you actually landed a role. Don't expect to support yourself by working in cartoons (which wouldn't be considered desirable work by many actors, but most would take such a gig just for the acting credit and the experience).

Go to Burbank Ca, they have nick studios there near downtown burbank. I see it almost everyday

if you live within a 2 hr radius of adv studios they have open auditions like once a month (by the way that would be houston tx)
