Question: I am only on episode 52/3 of the English Dub. Can someone tell me what has happened in this great anime that is rising to be one of my top favorites? Also, Manga too! Thanks!

what happed so far is that after aizen and the other 2 captains betrayed soul society. there appears new enemies, called "bounto." bounto are like vampire that sucks the soul of the person they consume, because of this they don't age that fast. they could even lived for 100 of years. after the enemies appeared, toushiro, matsumuto, yumichika, and ikkaku were asked to see what was happening in the real world. ichigo and the other part of the group encountered the bounto, because they want ishida's power, i order to go to soul society. what they didn't know ishida lost his power already. however, mayuri gave a bracelet to nemu, so she could give it to ishida. he did this, because he wants to catch a bounto, to become his experiment. when ishida got his power back, he created the way to soul society, so he could fight them in full power. on the end jin kariya the leader of the bounto died, when he was battling ichigo. this is just a filler arc, it's not on the manga. you don't need to know it.
after the bounto arc, aizen was already planning about the war they would do during the winter. he's planning to create new kinds of hollows, that are arrancars. the chosen arrancars will be called espada. he was also planning to find a way to duplicate the king's key. when the general realized this he asked the similar shinigami(toushiro, rangiku, tec) to come to the real world. there they faced the arrancars, and espada. two of the espada: yammy, and ulquiorra went to see ichigo, and battle him. after the battle, yammy's hand was cut off, and sado was heavily wounded. then that's when aizen became interested of inoue's power. she is the only one who could control the hougyoku. ulquiorra was aked to kidnap her, after that ichigo found out, and he, ishida, sado went to save inoue. they went to hueco mundo, and met an arrancar named nel tu, and her brothers. it also appears that rukia, and renji also came to hueco mundo, to save inoue with them. from there on, they had battles against different arrancars.
my favorite characters are:
Main Cast: Rukia Kuchiki(we have so many similarities, i act all boyish. plus, i always keep hitting, kicking, and punching my guy friends. i love doing it!^^)
Gotei 13 Captain:Zaraki Kenpachi( i love his hairstyle! he would be even cooler if he can achieve shikai, and bankai)
Gotei 13 Lt. : Yachiru(she's so cute! just don't interrupt any of ken-chan's fight, or she could be a little scary)
Vizard: Shinji(he's awesome! he managed to beat up grimjoww)
Arrancar: Ulquiorra(can't wait to see his release!)
i also like nel! she is so cool, no wonder she was the former 3rd espada.
they are going to start dubbing bleach again once death note is finished being dubbed

52 is where ichigo saves rukia from the execution. the shinigamis are not your enemies anymore. aizen, gin, and tosen betrayed soul society and went with the hollows. when ichigo and the crew went to the real world (except rukia to heal a lot), they meet this 3 enemies which are then in your side because they were tests from urahara. they meet bountos or vampires (not an important part of bleach so ill skip that part) then arrancars or advanced hollows which to say attacks ichigo and the others. renji and the others come to the real world to kill the arrancars. there are then higher levels of hollows called espada which are really strong than a captain shinigami level. aizen saw how orihime was really useful of healing, so he planned to kidnap orihime which they successfully did and right now, ichigo, chad, ishida, rukia, and renji are inside hueco mundo (you know where in epsidoe 3, orihime's brother was at to turn him into a hollow) to rescue orihime.

you mean, why it stopped showing on adult swim? oh well, they just got behind. they hadn't made any episodes to air. it's going to start back up in march i think
but otherwise its an awesome anime thats doing fine, everyone likes it, Kubo just came up with a really good idea and really good characters.
