Question: I'm around episode 77 now, Orochimaru is fighting with Hokage 3 and I think Hokage is about to die. Anyway, it's cool when the older guys meet up again. Like Jiyara and the Hokage 1 and 2. That teacher with the cigarette that took out those sound ninjas. Or Kakashi and the other teachers as they were growing up, I would like to see more about the adults and their past. It shows or refers to some, but they could do a whole series from the prequels I think. Are there?
And doesn't Hokage 3 kinda look like Naruto? is that his father? And shouldn't Hokage 3 choose another Hokage? If he dies, is their someone in place to take his place?

Well, there's Kakashi Gaiden, but that's never been animated, and Kakashi isn't that young in it. It's basically an in-manga filler arc between Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. It tells the story of how Kakashi got the Sharingan.
At the point they are in in the American dub on Cartoon Network, they are doing a lot of flashbacks to Sasuke with his older brother back when the Uchiha were still a clan.
And there's one episode with a few flashbacks to the three Sannin back when they were a team, but not really young.
That's about it as far as I know.
As for your question concerning the Fourth Hokage and Naruto, if you really want to know, yes, Naruto is his kid. That's a big reason why Naruto was chosen as the container for the Nine-Tail. The Fourth couldn't very well ask someone else to subject their child to this when he had his own there. So far, this hasn't been revealed in the anime, even the Japanese version. But it was recently revealed in the manga. The only people who we are sure know this are the two Sannin besides Orochimaru, though it seems quite likely with what he did to Naruto's seal way back, that he also knows as well. Naruto still does not know.
As for Hokage succession, there is a council of elders in the Leaf Village that choose the next hokage. It seems that each hokage is given significant sway in their choice of successor, though, in that the Third was going to make Orochimaru the Fourth until his experiments were revealed. Then he stepped aside for the Fourth to become the Fourth, which he wouldn't have had to do. So even if the Third does die, there is a system in place to pick another.
