You think it's better to wait and finish watching Naruto before going on to !

Question: I'm only around episode seventy or so. Orchimaru with the Wind and Sand villages are trying to take over Kahona. But Shippuden came out, but I'm thinking of finishing Naruto first. I think you kind a got to watch it from the beginning to enjoy it more, no? But I really want to watch Naruto Shippuden. I could skip Naruto, yes?

No, Keep watching Naruto the regular series. You will appreciate it much more when you finally get to shippuden.

Ya you could skip it after episode 135. Because that is after the big Sasuke and Naruto fight. Sasuke leaves for Orochimaru and Naruto and the other genin are going to train to get stronger to get him back. However the arc after episode 135 is pretty nice to watch so I guess you can skip the filler episodes after episode 141.

"Filler episodes are usually used to give the manga storyline time to get ahead of the anime story, as a single anime episode may use several chapters of manga as storyline material."

The fillers just show the growth of the character's in strength and personality wise. Friendships become tighter and more bonds are made - plus everyone grows stronger. You can skip them if you want, but some arcs are funny and would be fun to watch...

One arc you should definately watch is the last arc. The Shitenshonin arc starts from episode 216 - 220. This arc shows basically everyone for the last time before Shippuden. Plus it shows Naruto leaving Konoha to train with Jiraiya.

you should get to at least episode 150 then you can skip or else you'll be clueless

i skipped it. the story pretty much starts at 2.5 years later so background knowledge is pretty much almost uneeded. there may be some referencing, but they always have flashbacks so it's fine if you don't.

sure

nooooooo you are going to miss alot of information of the story plot just finish watching it trust me

135 is the end of part 1.
Once you reach that. Watch Shippuden.

136 to 220 is nothing but filler episodes which have no value to the story and are not canon to the manga in any way.

Most are horrible. Go straight to shippuden after 135.

*Edit*
Dinora. Episodes 136-220 are fillers and are not canon. They do not do anything to the story and is a waste of time. Hardly any good. You wont miss out on the plot if you skip them.

If its not in the manga its not canon. (which is what the fillers are, not canon)

I think you should watch Naruto first! and only then watch naruto shippuden... There are important things you may miss if you don't...
best wishes ;)

Well of you choose to skip the filler its after the fight with Sasuke and Naruto is going out to train. I personally watched the fillers because, well I wanted too. The good things about the fillers though is that sometime reveals story's/background about the characters.

Naruto Rocks!!!!!

If I were you, I would watch Naruto first. You will be so lost if you just skip on ahead to Shippuuden. If you watch up to 135 and then the END of 220 (which is part of the storyline), you will be able to follow it through. I hope this helps. ;D

you could go on 2 shippuned after the bigg fight

skip the fillers but i think you will undrstand and love the characters more if you watched t least to 135

I agree with >Jazmin<, I watched all of naruto and am glad because there are so many fun episodes! I wouldn't jump straight to Shippuden, it is a second series after all
