Question: really, im going farther than i should into an anime, but what do you think
some characters have completely inverse personas in the alchemic world visavis the other world?? take Fuhrer bradley for example, Hitler was fuhrer and yet his counterpart is jewish and anti-nazi and is nice to the elrics
or edward, on the alchemy side he despises his father, but his counterpart lives with hoenheiem and they seem to talk alot (shown when hoenheiem tries to talk to ed in the 50th episode)
and scar seems to give a somewhat menacing glare to edward on the other side...
but other characters like alphonse elric seem to both be fun loving and nice boys
so it seems that certain sould on one side change and others dont, does that mean that ed and bradley were so bad that before they passed on to another world they had to change
so does the gate randomly split soul A to world A and change it
or perhaps a different gate in everyone like hoenheiem said?

There are two worlds separated by the gate that is referenced throughout the whole anime. It separates the Alchemic world where alchemy is a science, and a world that is modeled after our own that embraced physics as a way of thinking.
The Anime sets you to believe that for any person on the alchemic side of the gate, there is a person who looks like that one on what could be considered "our" side of the gate, that is often an opposite to the alchemic person.(Furher Bradley (though he is a homonculous, and his Anti-nazi jewish counterpart). This is also why there are characters that look like Scar, Rose, Lust, Gracia, and Maes Huges. They are the representations of the Alchemic world in our own.
As for Honenhiem, and Ed, they are the same two in Our world as seen in the alchemic world. Dante sends Honenheim through the gate in rage after he not wanting to help her acheive eternal life. Dante thinks that doing this kills him, but actually sends him to our world. Ed does the same thing to himself when he transmutes himself to save Als body.
Its only natural that Ed would form a bond with his father, once he was placed in a world that he doesn't know, were his science doesn't exsist.

Dude you should not think to hard about this stuff.
The Conqueror of Shambala toys with they concept of paralel world-a world that is akin to our world but differs with a lot of retrospect.
For example, Ed came into 'our' world where alchemy is an ancient fantasy and physics changed the perception and thinking of the people.
Paralel world also divulges on the concept of a different world because of the different decision we take.
Nobody could explain behind the mystery of the gate of truth.
well for me, since the movie is not based on the manga, i do not dwell on it too much.. (ok, i hate the fact that Winry's alone, that's the real truth!!)
The Hoenheiem that talked to ed was the same one that was from alchemy ed's world. There are differences, but there are similarities, one thing you are mistaking is that the Bradley you consider 'evil', was atually just the incarnate of 'pride', not a real person. perhaps the person he was based off of was a nice person just like the jewish one
