The fillers end episode 220. You can skip all the fillers if you like, they aren't too important. The fillers just show the growth of the character's in strength and personality wise. Friendships become tighter and more bonds are made - plus everyone grows stronger. You can skip them if you want, but some arcs are funny and would be fun to watch...

One arc you should definately watch is the last arc. The Shitenshonin arc starts from episode 216 - 220. This arc shows basically everyone for the last time before Shippuden. Plus it shows Naruto leaving Konoha to train with Jiraiya.

Yes, Gaara does die. However this is in Naruto Shippuden episode 17. But don't worry he comes back to life =]

Oo, I'm going to email you a list of the fillers and which one is important or not. So check it ^^ Edit: Aww, you don't allow emails...Okay so read my answer here http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind... =]

skip to Shippuden it goes on from 135-220

They are all fillers untill Shippuuden. Nothing plot Changing really happens, and most of the relationships are just renewed at The first episode of shippuuden.. The manga Doesn't have the fillers, it skipps straight to shippuden...

Just skip to Shippuuden and save yourself some time. I wish that I had skipped the fillers. There isn't really a plot or anything. There r a couple of fight scenes that r cool but that is about it. I'm pretty sure the fillers end when Shippuuden starts. *spoiler warning*spoiler warning*Oh yeah, Gaara doesn't die. Akatsuki captures him, extracts the One-Tail and he is dead for a couple of eps. However he is then brought back to life by Sasori's grandmother.*spoiler warning*spoiler warning*
