Question: why are people so obsessed with anime?.and asking anime questions and whats so special about anime?.i seen some anime and i didnt get it.whats wrong with you?.anime this and anime that.ask some different questions,ok?

first of all, watching anime is more like a hobby to us, we like it that's why we want to know more about it and we can do that by "asking" another anime fans, don't you feel happy while discussing about your hobby with your friends? especially when your friends have the same hobby as you? that's what exactly is happening on here, you can't stop us like that, I know there's a lot of repeated questions on here, even I get mad of it, but what to do? the fans want to share their feelings with the others, that's it!
and please don't bash anime, and IT'S NOT JUNK!!!!!!!
btw, just to let you know, avatar isn't an anime! an anime is a Japanese cartoon, while avatar is an American so it's of course not an anime...
if you really want an anime that'll amaze you watch Death Note, you'll see the difference between it, cowboy bepop and avatar!
it's like alcohol/beer i do not like drinking it but people are obsessed about it ....mainly because i don't get drunk and it's nasty.....but still people have different taste

Animes can be dramatic, romantic, funny, action anything!
So it appeals to a diversity of people.
I personaly love anime and think that it's a lot better than American cartoons because the story lines can be very deep and the artwork is so beautiful unlike American cartoons which looks like they were drawn by 6 year olds because the technique is so simple.
But like me and my other anime loving friend say anime is not a Japanese cartoon it's more like a Japanese animated soap opera.
I have cried many times watching anime because it is so touching or sad.
I just love that effect.
It also depends on what anime though.
I will agree that some animes are very stupid.
But if you get a dramatic romantic one like Full Moon wo Sagashite or a funny romantic one like Fruits Basket anime is very entertaining and good.
But some people just don't like it.
I tried showing my friend some anime and after a couple minutes she just had to sign of any interest.
But it all depends on what you like.
So some people like anime and some people don't.
I just like it better than most other t.v. shows...
i tink u came to the wrong sub-category
well cuz most of what they're showing on tv now is trash.
like take for example, most of the shows on disney.
high skool musical
hannah montana
zach and cody
etc....
they all suck.
there are only a few good shows on tv now.
so, anime is something to turn to.
i'm not a big fan of it. i mean, ive seen like 4 anime's in my life.
but its something to watch.
Because...
... there are complicated things in an anime that we want to fully understand!
...we want suggestions for good animes to watch
