No, it ain't over yet, part two of book three is supposed to come out around June or September of this year.
I may be wrong, but I believe the show ended. There was an avatar movie on television that I watched and I am pretty sure that was the end.
If you're talking about an actual "book" like an anime/manga volume, they traditionally come out with the next books every 3 months.
