Question: Has any one noticed in naruto how masashi kills off or greatly injures the most awsome characcters in Naruto? Like Jiraiya died when he showed us how cool he was. Kimmamao died when he showed he was awsome. Rock Lee got owned by Gaara when he showed how awsome he was? Why does Kishimoto do that to us?

Kimmimaro was'nt that awesome in my opinion. He had a rather cliche' motivation. But i can't complain. I like some characters who are like that. Kimimaro had to die because he was the strongest opponent in the Rescue Sasuke arc. He was gonna die eventually anyways what with his sickness and all.
Rock Lee had to get owned because Kishimoto wanted to show how damaging Gaara going all out would be like. It would'nt have had as much impact if he had defeated someone like Choji.
Jiraiya died because the plot called for it pretty much. Probably to give Naruto a new rival in Akatsuki and a way to make him go all out as well.

Thats a good question. My guess would be that Masashi wants to show that even the greatest of warriors could die. Not every one is imortal or invinsible. That's what I like about this manga.
he's probably trying to show that even the most strongest warriors can die too. Everyone saw it comming that Kimmimaru was gonna die cause of his sickness. Rock Lee got injured severly cause he wanted to show how bad you would end up if u went up agains Gaara. I must admit it was pretty sad that Jiraiya died,cause a few tears were rolling down my face, but i guess he was trying to show that Jiraiya's time had finally come.
idk maybe he wants to play with our emotions
i think hes just showing that even the best will get beaten by someone stronger. or maybe he's showing the formation and destruction of 'bonds'. after all thats what a lot of naruto is about.

because if he doesn't then people would complain because no one cool dies or anything. it's sorta like you have to kill them off to keep up ratings and that type of stuff.
