1.full moon wo sagahite(i love this anime, it made me cry so many times.)
2.ultra maniac(the anime is different from the manga, so i'm not really sure on seeing a season 2)
3.shakugan no shana(has the categories you wanted, but sometimes it can get violent, and bloody)
4.shuffle!(made me cry badly)
5.fruits basket(truly amazing)
6.magic knight rayearth(word to describe it,"excellent")
7.mermaid melody pichi pichi pitch(have you watched mermaid melody pichi pichi pure)
8.fushigi yuugi(real unique)
9.ayashi no ceres(i was kind of disgused on some scenes, but i love how the story ends)
10.honey and clover(i just love it)
11.the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya(real funny, the romance to me is still unclear)
12.seto no hanayome(the first anime to make me literally roll myself laughing to the floor, and have some romance stuff)
13.final approach(short, but still good)
14.aishiteruze baby(yuzuyu-chan so kawaii! watch it i'm begging)
15.kodocha(similar to gakuen alice)
16.elemental gelade(real romantic, and made me cry on episode 23? not sure)
Ouran High School Host club- Haruhi Fujioka is a scholarship student at Ouran High School, a fictional school located in Bunkyō, Tokyo. Because of the superlative cost of the school uniform, Haruhi resorts to wearing long slacks, polo shirts and vests. Combined with her large glasses and tousled short hair, Haruhi's look causes her to be confused for a boy.
Looking for a quiet place to study, Haruhi stumbles upon the Third Music Room, the working place of the Ouran Host Club, a group of six attractive male students (Takashi "Mori", Mitsukuni "Hunny", Kaoru and Hikaru, Tamaki, and Kyoya) who spend their time charming and entertaining the school's girls for profit. During their first meeting, Haruhi accidentally knocks over a vase valued at ￥8,000,000, estimated to be $80,000.
In order to pay off the large debt, Haruhi is employed as the club's "dog" and constantly ordered to do menial tasks like serving food or cleaning up. The Club president, without knowing she is really a girl, promotes Haruhi to "host" as soon as he discovers her potential. Even after the truth comes out in the Club, Haruhi continues the charade and is allowed to pay off the rest of her debt working as a host; provided she conceals her true identity/gender from the customers.
Lovely Complex- is a love story between a boy and a girl. The girl, Risa Koizumi, is 172 cm tall - much taller than the average Japanese girl. The boy, Atsushi Otani, is 156 cm - way below the height of the average Japanese boy. Because of this, they are known as their school's comedy duo because there is a popular comedy duo that has a similar height difference. So people also call them "All Hanshin Kyojin (giant)" team.
During summer school, a very tall student (from another class) shows up and Risa immediately falls for him, as she has had bad luck with boys in the past because she is tall. There is a girl that Atsushi likes as well, so Risa and Atsushi decide to put aside their differences and help each other get their love interests. But as they get to know each other better, Risa's feelings for Atsushi begin to blossom, and her love life gets complicated from there.

The Melancholey of Haruhi Suzimaya - part high school drama/comedy and part fantasy action with a side order of romance. If you've not seen it then what have you been watching? if you've not heard of it then I'm glad you are out of that cave you've been living in
Azumanga diaoh - the premier high school drama/comedy
meaning it is already a classic that defines the genre
Lucky Star - like Azumanga it is a genre-defining anime by which all other anime will be compared, and most will come out losing. From the fantastic opeining tune to the deranging ending tune, you will laugh so hard you might leak
Shakugan no shana - the best anime showing at the moment? IMO it is one of the best I've ever seen. You shouldn't be made to care about the characters as much as you will end up doing during this show. With a good ending this show will love long in the memory of all Okatu's
hundreds of others (drop me a line for more info) but these are all 10/10, first grade, feckin stella anime.
