For those who read Amazing Spider-Man 545; what did you think of the ending?!

I thought the whole thing was a cop-out. I mean, the choice was made by Peter and MJ to sacrifice their marriage as if it never happened in order to save Aunt May's life. Marvel doesn't want to let Aunt May go, apparently. You had her first "death" in ASM 196 to find out a few issues later that it had been faked. Then you had her die in issue 400 only to find a number of issues later it was a May look-a-like (an actress with a terminal illness).
Won't they just let that poor woman rest in peace finally?
And I'm wondering how this "annulment" (of sorts) of Peter and MJ's marriage will affect the rest of the Marvel Universe. Because it looks like they were thrust back in time.

Both Marvel and DC continuities are basket cases at this point. The result of letting too many "boutique writers" from TV and motion pictures come in and eff everything up for no other reason than to stroke their own egos. No wonder comics are a dying industry whose corporate owners see as nothing more than a way to maintain copyrights for possible media development deals. And yes, the resolution of "One Last Day" was exceedingly lame and will, no doubt, be overturned within the year just like the aftermath of that godawful "Clone Saga" was in the 90s. And the reboot of the reboot (...of the reboot?) will suck as well.
The story has many possibilities but they were going for the noble sacrifice plot and emphasized that even Mary Jane could make such a sacrifice.As for Aunt May the ol biddy has been around since 1962 and I love her!Then again they say only the good die young.This annulment should affect the Marvel U because Evey body knew who Spider man was and who Peter Parker was married to.The fall out from this latest Spider man chapter should have some twists and turns and I don't believe it to be a permanent thing.
My friend, you must remember this: Marvel and DC (and every other comic book publisher in the world, probably) are in business to make money. They don't accomplish this by allowing the copyright on existing characters or the licensing associated with them to lapse.
I'm sorry. I'm not saying this to rub your nose in it, but that is the harsh reality which we, the readers, must face.
As long as they can find a way to squeeze a buck out of Aunt May, they will keep her alive, if it means putting her on full life support or breaking the laws of physics. And, (as I pointed out months ago, with the abysmal Civil War series) they have painted themselves into a serious corner with Peter/Spidey.
We will just have to suffer along for a while until they realize that their revenue stream is drying up (and if we are really serious about our love for the characters, we will take pains to see that they do not make money off crappy storiesm, by not buying them). Then they they will do whatever is necessary to "make it didn't happen".
Who knows? Maybe they will bring back the Beyonder and have him change history. Or maybe they will switch to Marvel Universe #617 permanently. Or have a beautiful young clone of Aunt May! No, forget I said that.

I don't think Aunt May ever needs to die BUT I don't think the ending the marriage of Peter and MJ was the wisest move on the part of Marvel.
Most people I have spoke to speak about it with negativity and are not happy with it.
