Did Jiraiya die for sure?!
Question: I read the latest chapter up to 384 when Sasuke and Itachi fight but in wikipedia it didn't say that he died. But he fell in the water in looked that he was about to die. The man got stabbed in the throat. Am I missing something?

well he looks like he's about to die, but they never show it.
It is a very very slim possibility that he could live, but it is very doubtful. always prepare for the unnexpected.
But in a recent interview with Kishimoto in the Jumpfest 2008 Kishimoto stated this
"Jiraiya lives.............in your hearts"
so that could mean he's really dead or he could be using his infamous symbolism to say that he actually lives, but no one is sure yet for sure.

Yes, he is 100 Percent officially dead, killed by Pein, the Leader of the Akatsuki.
They don't want to state anything until they're 100% sure, i mean there is still a very slim possibility that Tsunade will cure him. It took along time to state that the fourth was naruto's father, they waited until jiraiya memories of being chosen as Naruto godfather.

he is dead, unless he has the power to swim to the surface from the bottom of the ocean.
I don't think he's dead he was probably hurt really badly but I guess we'll have to wait for the next chapter.
