They are correct. It was aired backwards. It's very confusing if you watch it from episode 1 to 26. I couldn't find the reason they decided to do it this way. Very much like what they did on Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Perhaps to force you to watch until the final episode (or in this case the first episode).
