I know that Kyo, Yuki, Shigure, and Momiji are definetly cousins but I think that's it
But I was thinking the same thing as you! It is kinda weird!
But as Tohru said in some of the episodes Sohma is a popular last name. So they could just have the last name by a marriage.
Or they could have been related way way back in the family tree and now they are only related by their last names and the zodiac.

i guess they are but like they wanna keep it like pure blood i guess like most clans they have like marriages between cousins and stuff...i still think its kinda weird but i guess its the culture? idkk

In Japan its ok for cousins to get married so that maybe why. Also its probably easier to keep the curse hidden in the family.

theyre all distant relatives. it doesnt matter if theyre distant cousins or even further apart than that. it happens all the time in real life too.
