I'm looking for good anime about music... and kind of looking for one in par!
Question: I would like some suggestions for anime that strictly involve music.
I heard of one awhile back, but I can't remember what is was called. The title wasn't in English, but it wasn't in Japanese, either. Could anyone help me?

Well when you first mentioned "Music" with the word "Anime" I instantly thought of La Corda D'oro. That's it's title in English. In Japanese it's called Kiniro no Corda and in Italian it's called Primo Passo.

Hino Kahoko goes to a school that specialises in music and has two streams: the normal stream (general education) and the music stream, where the music students are regarded as the "more elite". She was running late for her class one day when she saw a tiny fairy, who seemed really excited that she could see it. The next day, the entrants in the concours - a highly regarded prestigious music competition - are announced. And much to everyone's surprise, Hino's name appears on the list! There's only one problem : she doesn't play an instrument and has no musical abilities whatsoever. The fairy gives her a magical violin that can be played by anyone. Reluctantly, she enters into the competition and is forced to deal with the prejudices of her peers. The story talks about "Violin Romance", two violinists whom loved each other but were destined rivals. But the other violin player, the cold Tsukimori Len, seems to only consider Hino as an annoyment....
Well there's also another musically centered anime called "Piano", but the title is in English, so I'm not too sure this is the one you want. But anyway;

The only one I know of is Perfect Blue. It is a story about a pop music star that wants to become an actress.. it is kinda twisted. hope this helped!
