[Related with stories] What's a one-shot?!
Question: I've seen people requesting one-shots from different users on fanfiction.net and Quizilla.
I know it's sad that I don't know...
But caan anyone tell me what a one-shot is?

It just means a stand-alone issue or volume of something. In the sense of fanfiction, it's generally a one chapter long story/short story that isn't going to be continued.
In fanfiction It means the story ends at one chapter so its a one shot ..no continuation.
One-shots are when all it is is one chapter. People tend to like these because there are no cliff hangers and they are easy to write.
One shots are fanfictions created by fanfic writers that only are composed of one chapters, mostly they are done with a certain character's point of view on an event, a romance between two characters or on what one would believe would have been better to have happened than what had happened on a particular part of the original story (anime/manga).
It's a one chapter fanfiction that has no continuation.
I like some of them, but most of the time I write stories with more than one chapter.
