From volume 28 onward, the series takes a new setting, taking place 2? years after the previous volume. While simply referred to as Part II in the manga, the anime gave this part of the series the name Naruto: Shippūden (ナルト 疾風伝, Naruto: Shippūden? lit. Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles). Between where volume 27 leaves off and the beginning of volume 28, to distance the gap between the manga and anime, the anime adds a series of filler episodes totalling 85, the longest number of filler episodes in any anime series.
Naruto: Shippūden tells the story of a matured and older cast from the original series. After training for 2? years with Jiraiya, Naruto Uzumaki, now fifteen, returns to Konohagakure, reunites with the friends he left behind, and reforms the original Team 7, excluding Sasuke Uchiha.
Unlike the original series, the organization of Akatsuki, which played a minor role earlier, takes on the main antagonist factor in their attempts of world domination. All of Naruto's classmates have matured and improved in the ranks, some more than others.

One of the best animes on Earth!!!! It's a story about a young ninja who goes thru crazy hardships, and is cursed with a fox demon inside him.................... It's Naruto, (original title) and then continues on as Naruto Shipuuden when the characters get older.

Naruto shippuden is a anime still based on the original naruto just in 2.5 year time skip. Most of the main charaters have developed to better ninja than they were 2.5 years ago.

Naruto Shippuden takes place after the 3 year time jump in where Naruto goes and trains with Jiraiya. Technically speaking, The first part of the Naruto anime should end at episode 135, then jump to where Shippuden starts (but there are 85 filler episodes after that instead). Shippuden begins the search for Sasuke, and the main battle against the Akatsuki.
Naruto Shippuuden takes place after the two year time skip when Naruto goes away to train with Jiraiya and everyone else trains as well. It's still the same show, just the characters are older and have gotten stronger. It also meets up with the fact that Orochimaru couldn't take Saskuke's body for about another three years. But, now that the the two year time skip happened, it has come a lot faster.

It's still the Naruto series, just a different part of it. The Naruto Shipuuden episodes occur two years after the normal Naruto eps. So all the characters are two years older and have changed slightly. It's really just a time-skip with a slightly different plot-line.
Shippuden id the continuation of the best anime ever Naruto, after he comes back from his 2 1/2 year training trip with Jiaraya. Shippuden is japanese for hurricane chronicles which is to tell about Naruto wind affiliation and how he can use it to change certian jutsu's(*coughRASENGANcough*)
It is set in the snow Kingdom that involves protecting a princess. There is a wonderful scene in the end showing off Naruto's resolve.
Naruto Shipuuden is the anime after the 2 1/2 year time skip. They did make a Naruto Shipuuden movie but Naruto Shipuuden isn't really a movie its just the next part in Naruto.
