Why is it that bullets ricochet off of Superman's chest, but he ducks when t!

Question: Frankly I have never seen him duck anything --He doesn't need to..
Where did you see that, anyway? Was it one of the movies?

If it was in a movie, remember that it wasn't Superman ducking, but a reflex on the part of the actor. Superman may not get hurt by flying guns, but actors can...! They must have just missed editing it out, when they put the movie together.

Because the laws of physics do not apply in his fictional universe. After all, he can fly!

you know what woman are like getting their hair just right .

you can see a gun coming lol

I suppose because it's make believe.

Because the gun is made of Kryptonite?

That is one of the many unanswered questions of the universe.....WWW.BORED.COM....

I'm sure I've read this question somewhere before. It's evolution. I mean if someone threw a peice of paper at you, it would bounce off of your chest but I bet you'd try and move out of the way, especially if you weren't expecting it.

He doesn't want the gun hitting him in the head and messing up his stylish hairdo..

yeah well if i threw a tennis ball at your head, it wouldnt hurt but u sure wouldnt look cool if it hit you. same deal with super man it looks cool when bullets bounce off you, though the gun hitting him in his head wouldnt looks cool and he has to keep his image.

he flinches when you shoot a rubber band at him too i think it has to do with his eye sight xray vision must be hard on depth perception

Cos the gun has more surface area to to hit Superman while the bullets are small and are less likely to hit him. And getting stuff chucked at you does hurt. And basically he don't want to get hurt.

I thought of 2 explanations:

1. He has an allergic reaction to guns

2. His big breasts are invincible and are 2 big magnets. So He wouldn't pull a gun (with a wooden butt) to his chest.

just to make it more exciting

Because actor George Reeves was not immune to bruising when the blank firing prop was hurled at him.

The real question is, if the bullets all bounced off Supermans' chest, why would you waste your effort throwing the gun?
