Why does all of the shonen make it to the U.S. and not the shoujo?!

Question: It's depressing but maybe I should be happy? At least it will not be mangled by bad dubbing! Is it because the entertainment industry favors boys? All people talk about is Naruto when there are so many other good animes! Some are thought provoking and some are just amazing like Miyazaki's. (Which fall into neither category in my opinion)

Well I watched Sailor Moon and CardCaptors on TV, and those fall under shojo.

Although I do have to agree that there is more shonen than shojo anime shown. I think this is because shonen anime is not only like by males but most females typically watch it as well. If they show shojo, not many males would watch it anymore, just females

Shonen:
61% Males
39% Females

Shojo:
20% Males
80% Females

I think they just try to show an anime that is liked well by both genders.

theres thousands of shoujo animes out there

utena and kashimashi and sailor moon are threee that come to mind

narutard is just talked about so much is because so many idiots like it.

maybe because Americans seem to be more violence, or like violence movies, so shounen would be more popular and make more profit. Whatever get the bigger audience will be release in the US. Or at least that's what I think
