70's TV Kids Show UK?!

Question: Trying so hard to remeber the name of this show and here some clues that I can remember.

If I recall correctly it was a cartoon animation which consisted of a "family" of "creatures" possibly upto 8 or 9 that could morph into any object (and no its not Morph or Chas from Vision On).

I think possibly the programme started with a "B" or at least had a "B" in the title as when the titles completed each member of the "family" morphed into an individual letter of the programme name and I seem to recall a figure 8 hence the "B".

One episode involved them turning into machinery I think to stop a protest or building work and one of the family throwing large balls of chocolate I think from his crane like scoop.

Programmes that I recall from that era Magic Roundabout, Noah & Nelly (all aboard the skylark etc).

Hope you can help !

John

Yes - Babapapa

The first series was voiced by Michael Flanders of Flanders and Swann fame (Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud?)

He died before he could make any more, so the rest were voiceless i think?

HEY.... I just found these links!!!

I was a kid in the 70's but I don't recognise that at all, sorry

It wasn't something like Bodkins was it?

BARBAPAPA (1970-73)
of Scandinavian origin concerning a sort of extended family of colourful, shapeshifting balloony blobs. The main two were Barbapapa and Barbamama.
